Summer School Global Migration and Development_Utrecht 4-15 july 2011
International Development Studies of the Department of Human Geography and Planning at Utrecht University, the Netherlands is offering a 2-week summer school programme on Global Migration and Development, at the advanced bachelor level.

Legacy (NiNsee) and the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam are pleased to announce the fourth annual Summer School on Black Europe entitled:
Black Europe: Exploring Dimensions of Citizenship, Race and Ethnic Relations.
June 12th-30th 2011, Amsterdam, the Netherlands
The Summer School on Black Europe emerged out of dialogue and concern of various scholars working in the field of race and ethnic relations in Europe. The program is now in its fourth year and is currently located at the National Institute for the study of Dutch slavery and its legacy (NiNsee).

Translation Research Summer School (TRSS), June 2010
We invite applications for the TRANSLATION RESEARCH SUMMER SCHOOL (TRSS) 2010, to be
held in London in June 2010. This annual two-week course offers intensive research training in translation and intercultural studies for prospective researchers in the field. For more information, please see below and visit the TRSS website. The deadline for applications is 30 April 2010.

Syllabus: The syllabus consists of four modules of four sessions each, plus a public lecture and private seminar by the invited speaker. In addition, students attend small-group tutorials and present their own work. Modules: Research Design and Dynamics; Theoretical Approaches; Research Methods; 2010 specialist module: Translation and Values.
Eligibility: The Summer School is open to suitably qualified students from across the world. Candidates should normally hold the degree of Master of Arts or equivalent in a relevant subject (typically a humanities subject involving cross-cultural studies), should be proficient in English and should either have started or be actively considering research in translation and/or intercultural
studies.
Application deadline: 30 April 2010
Tuition fee: 975 GBP for sponsored students; 680 GBP for self-funded students

TRSS (UK) works closely with TRSS (HK), which is based at Hong Kong Baptist University.
